Employee Spotlight: Eric Pilsmaker

Business Analyst, Eric Pilsmaker joined MCFA in June of 2009 after graduating with a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. Eric provides BRAC-related transformation support to the APG Directorate of Logistics (DOL). Eric's role at the DOL is to track all BRAC-related requirements and ensure DOL can right-size resources and processes to meet supported customers' demands during and post-BRAC. This includes the resource and process planning for hundreds of BRAC-mandated moves of personnel and equipment. Eric coordinates with the Installation Transportation Office to analyze and make data-driven decisions for over $4 million in BRAC movement contracts.

Eric is also collaborating with other Garrison Organizations to plan for post-BRAC transportation and logistics issues. This includes drafting of a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan to identify strategies for reducing off-post traffic, and working with local mass transit providers to bring needed transit services to the installation.

Eric lives with his wife, Leonor in Baltimore, MD and carpools to work at APG. In his free time, Eric is a volunteer English teacher at the Esperanza Community Center in East Baltimore.
