MCFA Announces Board of Advisors

MCFA named John C. Marion and Todd Strine to its Board of Advisors. Board members provide independent advisory to MCFA management and serve two-year terms. “These two senior executives are people from whom we have informally sought advice for some time. Both are at the top of their respective industries and will bring excellent perspective to our biggest management decisions. Mr. Marion provides us with expert financial and risk management advice, and Mr. Strine is a true entrepreneur and innovator. We are excited to formalize our relationship with these fine individuals,” commented MCFA’s chief financial officer, Jon Nehlsen.


John Marion

John Marion began working at JPMorgan Chase in 1997 and is currently Chief Financial Officer for Internet and Mobile Banking Services, as well as Corporate Responsibility. His responsibilities include budgeting, financial analysis, business cases, contracts and risk management. In addition, he is Treasurer of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, which contributes over $100 million annually to charities around the world. During his career, John held a variety of finance and accounting positions with JPMorgan Chase.

Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, John was a financial auditor in the Philadelphia office of KPMG from 1991-1997.

From 2004 to 2010, he served on the Board of First State Community Loan Fund (FSCLF), in the position of Treasurer for the last three years. FSCLF is a community development financial institution that provides capital to underserved communities throughout Delaware. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Mullica Hill, NJ, with his wife, Terri, and children, JC (9) and Zachary (7).


Todd Strine

After graduating from Princeton University and UCLA School of Law, in 1995 Todd Strine began his career as an associate attorney at the Philadelphia law firm of Clark, Ladner, Fortenbaugh & Young, where he worked on corporate law transactions involving real estate, contracts and securities. After three years at the firm he left to become Director of Business Affairs for Telenium Communications, a video production company. Still young and single and working at Telenium, he founded Indre Recording Studios, which became Philadelphia’s top producer of live local radio broadcasts, hosting diverse acts ranging from Jane’s Addiction to Billy Joel to Coldplay.

At the turn of the millennium, Strine got married and started a family, which led him to exit the music business and focus on projects that actually make money. In 2004, Strine structured and participated as a managing general partner in a joint venture transaction with The Related Group of Florida to acquire and develop a beachfront hotel property in Ft. Lauderdale Beach, FL into the Las Olas Beach Club, a $180 million mixed use development of 150 luxury condominiums and ground floor retail space. Following that project Strine purchased the historic landmark Philadelphia Bank building on Independence Park and renovated it into luxury condominiums with ground floor retail space and a connection to the adjacent Omni Hotel. In 2007, Strine and a partner bought Telenium and repositioned it as an experiential marketing agency called Fusion Brand Experiences, which produces corporate communications and events.

Keystone Quality Transport has become one of the largest providers of medical transportation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during their 17-year history. The company founded by Strine’s family and he has served as director for the past decade.

From 2008-2010, Strine earned an MBA at The Wharton School’s executive program. Since graduating from Wharton, Strine focused on expanding the medical transportation business through a regional consortium of similar companies. Strine remains active in real estate and in the pursuit of new business opportunities that intersect with his experience.

Strine serves as a Board member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Police Athletic League, and in recent years has been involved in his community as a the project manager of an art gallery expansion at the Wallingford Community Arts Center. He lives in Swarthmore, PA and enjoys running, skiing and being a fan of his kids’ sporting endeavors.
